AMERICAN BAR AT THE SAVOY

The bar that tops The World’s 50 Best Bars 2017 ranking has been a must-visit destination for more than 125 years. Erik Lorincz and Declan McGurk have managed to keep it on the crest of the wave, executing classics and offering themed menus. Some of their cocktails are made with vintage distillates, hence the hefty price tag, such as the sazerac with 1858 Sazerac de Forge, 1950 Pernod Absinthe and Peychaud’s aged bitters.

CAHOOTS

Its status as an almost secret establishment and its unusual setting (which reproduces a 1940s London Underground station with a carriage housing the tables and bar) are the main attractions of this establishment, which fills to capacity in the blink of an eye every evening, so it is advisable to book in advance.
